CHITRAKADI VATI

चित्रकं पिप्पलीमूलं द्वौ क्षारौ लवणानि च ।

व्योषं हिङ्ग्वजमोदां च चव्यं चैकत्र चूर्णयेत् ।। ९६ ।।

गुटिका मातुलुङ्गस्य दाडिमस्य रसेन वा ।

कृता विपाचयत्यामं दीपयत्याशु चानलम् । । ९७ ।।

Definition-
Chitrakadi Vati is a traditional Ayurvedic formulation primarily used to enhance digestion
and improve metabolic processes. It typically contains ingredients like Chitrak
(Plumbago zeylanica), Black Pepper, Ginger, and other herbs that promote appetite,
alleviate gas, and support overall digestive health.

Uses-
Agnimandya (Digestive impairment), Aamdosha (Products of impaired digestion and
metabolism/consequences of Ama), Grahani (Malabsorption syndrome).

Dosage &  Anupan-
4 to 6 tablets per day in divided doses with water or directed by Ayurveda Consultant.

Side Effects-
Generally ayurveda medicines do not have any side effects but it may cause Gastric
irritation, Loss of appetite if taken in excessive amount.

Shelf Life-
It lasts upto 1 year to 3 years from manufacture date if kept in air tight containers.
